Total cost of the on-going wars in Iraq and Afghanistan exceed $2.5 trillion

According to http://costofwar.com/en/ the war in Iraq has cost over $770, 000, 000, 000 ($770 billion) but the cumulative cost could exceed $2, 000, 000, 000, 000 ($2 trillion). The war in Afghanistan has so far cost $376, 000, 000, 000 ($376 billion).

Video - Text from youtube - Americans consider the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan among the less important problems facing their country - according to a recent opinion poll.  That's despite thousands of U.S. soldiers killed in action and more than one trillion dollars spent. But as RT's Lauren Lyster reports it may be the mainstream media that decides what really matters for the public...

My thoughts? The US is in the biggest shit they've ever been in, public health, education, etc is all in the toilet compared to other countries, yet they find the time to sign blank cheques for a war which will at the end of the day, achieve nothing.
