A "newly-discovered" asteroid, known as 2011 CA7 is going to fly past Earth tomorrow and will only be 63, 000 miles away. This is only 1/4 the distance to the moon.
The closest approach of 2011 CA7 will be at around 1700 UT, it is said to pass through the constellation Orion glowing like a 17th magnitude star.
I find it shocking that we are only being told about this, NOW? Surely they'd be able to detect these things?
